Back at PBS

I’m excited to be back in the public television world as Development Producer at KLRU-TV, Austin PBS. This post is long delayed, but I’ve been there full time for over a year now. I’m creating video spots for broadcast and social media that promote membership and fundraising for the station. And occasionally I get to hang out with PBS icons like Clifford the Big Red Dog.
I’m a proud PBS nerd, so it’s amazing to get to work directly in support of public television. Now go donate to your local station!

New Standard Screenprinting

Earlier in the summer I spent a day all around cool spots in Austin photographing models for New Standard screenprinting.  Their website is set to launch the photo and video content soon:

Here are some of my favorite shots:

The Dumpster Project

We’ve officially launched our fundraiser for the Dumpster Project.  Funds go toward their first Creative-in-Residence program, and part of the campaign includes a documentary video on the process.  We are also working toward creating an ‘About the Dumpster’ video and educational video content using the dumpster as a jumping off point to teach about science and sustainability topics.

I’ll also be spending a night in the dumpster sometime in the next month, with plans to document the evening so stay tuned!

Dell videos

I recently Art Directed this video for Dell introducing their XPS laptop series.  It was one of two videos I worked on with their internal video team.  Watch here:  XPS Laptops video

Here is a photo from a recent collaboration with the Dumpster Project, a learning initiative at Huston-Tillotson University.  It’s outfitted with wood floors, a cozy couch, flatscreen TV, and weather station.  I’ll be collaborating with the dumpster team to create videos for the project.  It’s an educational platform, experiment in sustainability, and a re-imagining of what we call home.  This is just a sneak peek — we will be launching a fundraiser soon which will raise $ for some multi-media content, an artist-in-residence program, and more.  Stay tuned!

Groovy Party

For the past year I have been writing, directing and editing with the sketch comedy group Groovy Party. It’s not much “work” creating shorts with these ladies. And they are brilliant and funny and beautiful. Groovy Party is the total package. We’ve got lots of awesome content up on our YouTube channel.

Plus lots more in the works, like Tracy & Tracy Jr.:

And a new bathtub confessional web series, ‘Come Clean’:
